Interesting dataset, but I'd be interested in looking at it from a different angle.

You classified the creators' sentiment, not the audience response. A video with 2 million views and a comment section full of "AI slop" comments gets coded the same way as one with genuine enthusiasm. Views aren't endorsement. The algorithm pushes AI content whether people want it or not, and hate-watches and scroll-pasts are real traffic. The 3:1 adopter ratio my be measuring content production incentives, not public sentiment.

The study I'd love to see from this dataset: what happens to a creator's engagement trajectory when they start posting AI content? Are they spending down reputation they built on original work? If per-video engagement drops, subscriber growth stalls, or comment sentiment shifts negative after the pivot, that's creators eating their seed corn - converting accumulated trust into cheaper content that hollows out the thing that built their audience in the first place.

AI tools make content cheaper to produce, so creators produce more. But if each piece draws on the same fixed reputation pool, more volume at lower quality drains the account faster. The platforms reward this with watch time metrics that look stable right up until they don't. By then the creator has lost the skill practice that would let them recover.

That dynamic might also reframe your resister data. The artistic-theft community (your largest resister category) may not just be upset about training data — they may be the creators who see this hollowing-out happening in real time and are trying to hold the line.

this is really interesting! I'm unsure about including the AI slop memes as part of positive sentiment because I feel like it's mixing form/content — like I'd want to separately examine "Are people adopting AI in social media for [visuals/scripts/etc]?" (revealed pref) versus "What do people think of AI conceptually" (stated pref). But agree that the broad tiktok/ig landscape is much more representative of normal people's views than elite discourse - e.g. the career help stuff - and it's cool to have a view like this.
